About Us
We are a family owned and operated hunting outfit based out of Fort McMurray in northern Alberta, Canada. We have been traveling on the Clearwater River to hunt and fish since we were young and have developed a passion for hunting that we want to share with you. We know this area well and could not ask for a better place to live and enjoy the outdoors. This is amazing back country that not many people get to see, let alone hunt. Boat Services
We have been on the Clearwater River for 20 years now and love sharing the experience. We can provide you with simple scenic trips up the Clearwater River or take you on a great day fishing with a shore lunch. We also provide services to environmental companies for both the Clearwater and Athabasca River. Whatever your needs may be, we would be happy to assist you.
Moose Camp 1
This is an extremely remote wall tent camp that will take place around the Fort McMurray area. This trip will take up to 4 - 5 hours on quad and side by side to get to. We have picked this location because of the high success in big bulls averaging 48 inch and bigger given there is no local hunting pressure. We will be hunting in a big river valley in boat with floating and hiking as needed. This will be a 7-day hunt with 2 guides per 1 hunter. Our camp will have all the necessary amenities for your stay to make it enjoyable. With this moose hunt it can also be turned into a combo hunt with a bear license and we will add in a wolf license as well.
Moose Camp 2
This moose hunt takes place on a beautiful lake which we access with float plane or Argo. This makes for a great location with there being no pressure on animals. On this lake we are set up in a cabin with all the necessary amenities to feel at home. While hunting this area we will be glassing the edges of the lake while also taking the time to float a very silent creek that exists the lake. We hunt moose in the prime rut season which gives us greater chance for 40 inch plus bull. This is a 7-day hunt with 2 guides per 1 hunter. With this moose hunt it can also be turned into a combo hunt with a bear license and we will add in a wolf license as well.
Accommodations
While you are in camp for your bear hunt you will be staying in one of four unique cabins. The cabins are all furnished with bunk beds, wood stove, table and chairs and a wood box. They also have electricity when the generator is running.
You will be hunting in a well populated area using river boats and aluminum fishing boats to get to and from the bait sites. Our bait sites are placed along the river where you will hunt from tree stands. This is an optimal black bear hunting area. With the river and dense forest there is a variety of food to eat and there is no competition from other hunters.
Fishing
Fishing on the Clearwater River holds northern pike, walleye, goldeye along with scenic views.
Additional Hunting At the Lodge
While hunting with us, a Wolf license is included as a bonus.
